Maritime Gardens Assisted Living celebrated Valentines Day on Tuesday, February 14th.  They started off the day with Judy Johnson RN and Judy Evenson making Sticky Buns with homemade yeast dough. Judy Johnson's daughter, Margaret Ann and granddaughter, Jemma visited and handed out suckers to the residents.  Later Cheri Wusterbarth, a good friend of Karen's from Kiel visited with her two grandchildren, Owen and Natalie.  They brought homemade heart shaped cookies and handed them out to the residents.  As the party progressed the residents were given sherbert punch with strawberries and heart shaped cheese, ham and crackers.  Heather, Activity Coordinator, read a beautiful Valentines Prayer.  She continued on with door prize drawings, trivia and a game. After Kay's home cooked meal, angel food cake was served.  Kathy Hardrath, a past residents daughter, brought in the homemade angel food cakes. In the after noon the senior center joined us for a game of caring bingo.   A good time was had by all!
