The residents at Maritime Gardens enjoyed a wonderful spring as we looked forward to the warmer weather. At Easter we had an egg hunt with the help of Jerry and Karen's grandchildren and Shirley S. grandchildren as well. Treats included chocolate marshmallow eggs and jelly beans, with a special ham dinner on Easter. The Mexican holiday, Cinco de Mayo was celebrated with a special meal along with margaritas. We had a ladies red hat party at which we discussed womens shoes over the years. Jill served egg salad and chicken salad croissants while the guys had their green hats on in the west wing. They had brats and talked about the brewer season. Linda K. headed up the pot planting this year and gave each resident that participated a pot to plant. The end of June was our family/friend picnic, this years theme was a Circus. A good time was had by all!
