The residents at Maritime Gardens participated in many spring events. Cinco de Mayo was celebrated with Mexican music, Margaritas and Mexican Food. A sombrero was passed around for picture taking. The men's Green Hat Club got together to watch a Brewer Game. Jerry served drinks as the men enjoyed a brat. The women's Red Hat Club met for lunch. Soup and Kay's finger sandwiches were served. The topic of conversation was women's fashions for the past 80 years. Heather showed pictures of the different clothes, shoes and hair styles. The residents enjoyed a disco dance, with music by Steve Thuss. On Memorial Day, hamburgers and brats were grilled out. Heather lead trivia and handed out door prizes. Residents frosted and decorated flower cookies and made many craft items during the spring months. It has been a busy time as we await summer!
